This morning is the first morning when Mia woke up that she was not upset, so she is getting used to us. We've been trying to tell her she won't always be living in a hotel with lots of people, but we're not sure she understands.
Yesterday we went to the park along the river, it was neat. Similar to what NYC has done on West Side Highway, but bigger.
Mia had a good day. She wasn't hungry for breakfast, which was the first time she hadn't really chowed down. Her stomach was a little upset judging by what came out a little later (I won't go into details). Rest of day was good, one of the pix you see of me holding her had Tracey in histerics...when I took her, she immediately started wailing, but I was going to get in a picture. The last picture in our hotel room she had finally let me hold her with no problems, including holding her crossing the street from the restaurant. Maybe today Mia won't cry when her Mommy leaves the room. It's amazing to see how well she's taken to Tracey.
Anyway, all is great. Today if it does not rain we are going to the countryside. Maybe eat in a farmer's hut if he allows it. If it rains, our guide had set up going to a museum.
This is our last day in Changsha. Tomorrow morning we take a short flight to Guangzhou, first test of Mia on a plane. That should be fun.
Regards,
Mia, Tracey and Eric

Hi Lederer family! Guangzhou is so much fun. You are going to love it. It will feel so good to get her passport in her hands! I am so glad things are getting better for Daddy and Mia. Once again great pictures.
Blessings,
Mystina, Ken, Micah and Olivia
Hi Duchie & Eric!
We just arrived home from the beach and the first thing I did was log on to your blog. Mia is absolutely adorable and cute as a button and I bet she has a matching personality. How lucky she is to have you two as parents. We can't wait to meet Mia, but we would pay money to see Mocha's reaction when she meets Mia for the first time!
Hotel living is never good, but it looks like it is better than living in the houseboat with the guard dog.
Since you left I have been talking about your adventure to Will and Pat, wondering how everything is going, etc. Julia must have overheard everything and asked me today, "when did you get me, Mom?"
Sorry to say that you better get used to the bad hair days--I am pretty sure that they are included in the Mother job description.
Send more pictures!!!! We hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in China and we can't wait to talk to you when you get home. You are all in our thoughts and prayers for a safe return to Charlotte.
Huge hugs and a zillion kisses to all of you!
Love,
Barbara, Will and Julia (and the kitties too!)
PS--I won't even mention the buckets of very happy tears I have shed.
Hi Tracey, Eric & Mia-
Words can not express how excited we are for you. Mia is beautiful. I love reading the blog and being with you "in spirit"...thanks for sharing this all with us. We can't wait to meet Mia Lederer.
Travel safe,
Sven
I can't be beat by Barb...I am sending colossal hugs and a billion zillion kisses to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy these memories,
